The Limassol Athletic Union had the special honor of participating in the official presentation of the IC Future Foundation, a new social service foundation that aspires to play a significant role in supporting children, vulnerable social groups and people in real need.
The event was held at the new IC Markets EU building under the auspices of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus, which was represented by Mr. Konstantinos Dimitriou, in the presence of representatives of the State, Local Government, institutional bodies, organizations, businesses and personalities from the fields of health, entrepreneurship and sports. The presence of the Ministry of Health gave particular institutional prestige to the event and highlighted the importance of the IC Future Foundation as an initiative with a substantial social impact.
During the evening, the vision and mission of the IC Future Foundation was presented, which was created with the aim of investing substantially in people, and especially in children, through actions related to health, education, social care and the creation of equal opportunities for all.
In his greeting, the Director of IC Markets EU, Mr. Kleanthis Rousakis, emphasized that true success only gains value when it returns to society, while also addressing an open call to businesses, organizations and citizens to become part of this collective effort. At the same time, he praised the timeless social contribution of AEL, noting that a sports organization can and should be a force for social change and contribution.
The founder and President of the German Medical Institute, Professor Dr. Nikolaos Zampoglou, referred to the Foundation's main pillars of action, placing particular emphasis on supporting oncology patients, as well as children of families affected by cancer, underlining that social sensitivity and practical care are the responsibility of all of us. At the same time, he wished AEL every success and confirmed the German Medical Institute's continued support for the team, as its official medical assistant.
On behalf of AEL, the Social Responsibility Manager, Ms. Ariadne Genethliou, congratulated IC Markets EU and personally Mr. Andrew Budzinski for the vision and initiative to create the IC Future Foundation, pointing out that the collaboration between entrepreneurship, social responsibility and sports can create a meaningful and lasting social footprint. At the same time, she expressed her warm thanks to the German Medical Institute and especially to its founder and President, Professor Dr. Nikolaos Zamboglou, for his many years of invaluable contribution to humanity, science and society.
